Finance Officer
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our multi-academy Trust at a really pivotal point in our growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic team player to join us as we look to the future as a ten-school Trust.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for financial transactions in the new Trust, complying with the Internal Financial Regulations and statutory requirements. They will become a key part of our Central Finance team, liaising with all our schools as well as other stakeholders.
Finance Officer – Term-time – Orchard Learning Alliance

25 to 37 hours per week (please specify your preference)
Term time plus insets (195 days per year, to be worked in line with Trust term dates)
Salary of £29,629 - £33,024 p.a. FTE
We offer significant employer benefits as well, including:
- A Defined Benefit Pension Scheme (LGPS – 22% Employer Contribution),
- Cycle to work scheme

We are looking for someone with
- Previous Finance experience (this does not need to be within schools, although that would be beneficial)
- A confident team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Finance qualifications would be desirable, but we are happy to consider qualified by experience. As a Trust we encourage professional development and would be willing to support further study, if desired, subject to agreement.

Finance Business Partner – Orchard Learning Alliance
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our multi-academy Trust at a pivotal point in our growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic team player to join us as we look to the future as a ten-school Trust.
Full time - 37 hours per week (happy to consider part time for the right candidate)
Salary of £49,498 - £54,707 p.a. FTE

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the financial reporting in our new Trust, producing budget reports, monthly monitoring and reforecasting documents. They will become a key part of our Central Finance team, liaising with all our schools as well as other stakeholders.
We are looking for someone with
- Previous management accounting experience (this does not need to be within schools, although that would be beneficial)
- A confident team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Strong ability to build relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders, to aid in making the right decisions for our schools
